The “Brighter Futures for Women” project aims to uplift and support women who have experienced domestic violence.
Additionally, we offer recreational activities, friendship-building initiatives, and psychological support sessions.
We are targeting to assist 500 women across Gateshead, Newcastle, Sunderland, South Shields, and Durham.
Furthermore, this project is built upon the generous support from the Community Fund Grant of £20,000.
However, to achieve our ambitious goal, we need additional funding to extend our reach and impact.
The Making Connections project focuses on ending isolation and improving the psychological and mental health of women who have endured domestic violence or child marriage. The project provides tools and community support necessary for these women to integrate into society and lead healthier, more fulfilling lives.
The Future Girls Project aims to train and support girls affected by early marriage, helping them gain financial independence and life management skills. This initiative focuses on providing education and resources to empower young girls, ensuring they have the necessary tools to lead independent and self-sufficient lives.
Amplifying the Seriousness of Domestic Violence Against Girls
Welcome to the Unsilenced Voices project, a powerful initiative dedicated to raising awareness about the grave issue of domestic violence against girls. In countless homes across the globe, young girls are enduring physical, emotional, and psychological abuse, often in silence and isolation. This project aims to shed light on their experiences, break the cycle of violence, and foster a society that protects and supports every girl.
Domestic violence is a pervasive global issue that affects individuals from all walks of life.
Moreover, it transcends age, gender, or socioeconomic status.
However, the impact of domestic violence on girls deserves particular attention due to the unique challenges they face. Many girls endure violence within the supposed safety of their own homes, often at the hands of those closest to them. The consequences of such violence can be devastating, impeding their physical, emotional, and educational development and perpetuating cycles of abuse.
The primary objective of the Unsilenced Voices project is to raise awareness of the seriousness and prevalence of domestic violence against girls, both within our communities and globally. By amplifying their stories, we strive to ignite empathy, mobilize support, and drive change. We aim to debunk myths, challenge societal norms, and cultivate an environment where the rights, safety, and well-being of girls are protected and prioritized.
The Unsilenced Voices project will employ a multifaceted approach to achieve its goals. It will leverage various mediums and platforms to reach diverse audiences, creating a comprehensive and impactful campaign. Some key components of our approach include:

Providing educational resources to empower individuals with knowledge about domestic violence, its impact on girls, and the available support systems. We will also advocate for policy changes and improved services for survivors.
Collaborating with governmental and non-governmental organizations, community leaders, educators, and healthcare professionals to foster a holistic approach to combating domestic violence against girls.
Establishing safe spaces, helplines, and online support networks to connect survivors with resources, counseling, and legal aid.
